Support the Jensens' Urgent Basement Repairs

Hello! We are the Jensens. My husband, Trent and I (Sherri), are at a loss and turning to the community to help us afford a partial repair for our basement. We became homeowners on Valentine’s Day of 2025, and since then have been faced with the “joys” of homeownership- things we weren’t as prepared for as we thought. The roof needed immediate replacing, which unfortunately, on top of closing costs and deposits, drained a lot of our savings. We’re fortunate that we’ve stayed afloat- then an unexpected emergency plumber visit was nearly a nail in the coffin. Now- this. Our basement has been deemed unsafe, we got a quote that would drown us completely in order to fix it. While we will have to finance the full amount- we’re fundraising for a down payment. Anyone who knows me, knows I absolutely HATE asking for help. Especially with the cost of living on the rise, I feel ashamed for asking for a ‘handout’. Rest assured, I anticipate working overtime, maybe donating plasma for the first time, and sacrificing all of our subscription services. This is just something a little too much for us to do alone sadly. For our children’s health and wellbeing, anything will help tremendously, and I hope one day we can pay back everyone.
