In April, I was diagnosed with rectal cancer, after a colonoscopy, which came as a shock to me, because I was in fairly good shape, being a basketball and baseball official for the past 45 years. I was prescribed radiation and chemo treatments for 28 days, I never thought I would be in this situation, but now it is reality, being retired I no longer have the resources to keep up, with the bills. After the 28 days I will be re-evaluated, and more surgery to remove any of the tumor that may be left, plus another scope. I just hope all my friends get checked, because if this can happen to me (fairly good shape), with really no symptoms until this year, it can happen to anyone. Thanks to all those who have checked on me and kept my spirits up, with positive words. I can't beat this without my friends and I will, but there is a long road ahead.
