Lighten the Load

I am writing to you about someone who taught in our school this past year as a special ed teacher.  She is a mother of a large family and is being faced with the dreaded situation as her 20 year old daughter was just diagnosed with leukemia.  Since the diagnosis she has spent most her time in the hospital with her daughter and has been unable to work.  Although, The prognosis is BH positive, the toll this is taking on the family is tremendous.  There is a year ahead of her when she will be mostly unable to work.  since she is a mother of a large family and her salary is a necessity in order for the house to continue running, this setback is adding tremendous financial pressure to her at this time.  I am personally committed to do whatever I can to help her.  my goal is to approach people I know well and raise a total of about $10,000  which would cover the deficit starting from the summer months until at least November.  I am hoping I can count on you to either donate personally to approach someone you know who would be able to donate to the cause.
