Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart, but also with a sense of determination and resolve. As some of you may know, the past few years have been financially challenging for me, particularly since the closure of Rue-B, my jazz bar lounge in NYC, due to the pandemic in 2021. Like many others, I've been grappling with the aftermath, and it's brought me to a difficult juncture.
Recently, I've been facing the possibility of eviction due to falling behind on rent. While I'm grateful for the understanding and grace shown by my landlord, I found myself in a tight spot when illness struck me at a crucial time, preventing me from fulfilling the terms of our agreement.
What weighs on me most is the thought of my two beloved dogs facing homelessness alongside me. They're not just pets; they're family, and the idea of not being able to provide for them is heartbreaking.
I'm not one to ask for help lightly, but I find myself in need now more than ever. My rent for this month stands at $2,500, and I'm currently short $2,000. Every little contribution would mean the world to me as I work to get back on my feet.
I understand the gravity of the situation and the inconvenience of this request, but I'm hopeful that with your support, I can navigate through this challenging period. Rest assured, I'm committed to repaying any assistance I receive.
Thank you all, for your understanding, consideration, and compassion during this trying time. Your kindness means more to me than words can express.
With love and gratitude, Michael Camacho
