Rochelle went in for a scheduled MRI on Friday, January 17th, after having had unexplained and worsening headaches for the previous few months. Shortly after the MRI, her doctor called her and told her to go straight to the ER, because there was a large mass in her brain. She was admitted to the hospital immediately and went in for a biopsy/surgery on January 21st. The pathology from the biopsy determined the mass to be grade 4 Glioblastoma/brain cancer. Sadly, she never regained consciousness after surgery, and she passed away early February 1st, after only two weeks. It was shocking and unexpected and left her family and friends reeling.
Rochelle was kind, energetic, passionate and full of life. She loved her family fiercely. She was a brilliant and respected engineer, a talented cake artist, a home remodeling genius and also volunteered much of her spare time volunteering with her boys' cub scout and boy scout troops. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Steve, her boys, Tanner and Eli, grown stepchildren, Michael, Dan and Shannon, and her four beloved dogs. In addition, she leaves many other family members, friends, and coworkers who also thought the world of her.
The funds collected will go directly to her family to help cover medical bills and other unexpected expenses that arise.
