Hello and thank you for viewing my fundraiser,
My name is Daniel Moreno and I'm from San Diego, California. I would like to share a story with you about my life and why I have chosen to persue Taoism.
Growing up I had little resources for self-development and lived a majority of my adolescence taking care of myself while trying to take care of my family as well as my education. Leading me into adulthood with an eagerness to pursue my inner-self further.
I learned about a Taoist Temple in the Wudang Mountains in China that hosts students from all over the world to study the ancient arts and develop a relationship with the forces around us.
I had been studying Taoism for a while but didn't know what I could do to pursue it further than just meditating on the bus to work. So when I heard of the residency program at the Five Immortals Temple, I knew it was where I needed to be.
Now this is where the money comes in...
but before I ask for anything I want you to think of a time I touched you. Whether I provided you with emotional support or simply made you laugh or smile.
I do so because I care about the overall well-being of all people I meet.
I am pursuing this deeper understanding of myself and the ancient art so I can share positivity through being aware of oneself and the world we live in.
The program costs $1,741.20 which covers the cost of my training, housing, food, clothing, and travel. It starts in September, but I need to pay half of it soon to reserve my spot.
