Fighting Breast Cancer

My name is Brandie. The picture you see is of my mom and step-dad. They are wonderful parents and grandparents. However, they have had a rough couple of years.

October 8th of 2022, my step-dad had a Kidney transplant which put him out of work. My mother had to take on all the bills and worked more hours to just make ends meet. After having the Kidney transplant, he now has frequent doctor's visits and has obtained a "pharmacy " of medications to keep his body from rejecting the new Kidney and keep his body functioning properly with his Diabetes.

Just a few months later, on January 9th of 2023, my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She has began chemo and is fighting each and every day. They have to drive a few hours a week for chemo which is cutting hours at work for both of them.

As you can imagine, things have become very difficult just to live a simple life. Medical bills are stacking up, monthly bills are falling behind, groceries are minimal, and gas is very expensive to make it to the necessary doctors appointments.

We are asking that you may find it in your hearts to help them. My mother has so much more life to live and my kids deserve their grandmother for many more years to come. If there is anything that can be done, it is to help reduce the stress they are feeling from their financial insecurities, the continued medical assistance, and give them the hope that they need that things will work out in the end.
