Thursday the 15th Zephyr became ill. With a fever and puking, we assumed he had a standard flu. When he had not recovered by Monday, we took him to his pediatrician, who saw his symptoms and feared he may have appendicitis. We were told to drive immediately to UCSF, the closest hospital with a pediatric surgeon. After a long night at the hospital Zephyr was taken in for surgery, where they discovered his appendix had ruptured. Surgery went well and he is healing now, but it will be at least three more days before he can leave the hospital. As everyone knows, hospitals and surgeries are extremely expensive. If anyone can help us raise money for Zephyr's hospital bills, it would mean the world. we appreciate any donations.
