Please help save my dog, Zeus!

Anyone who knows me will know how much my dog Zeus means to me and my family. I have written and posted so many stories about him over the years. Zeus is only 8 years old and has always been healthy, strong, and beautiful. But about a month and a half ago, we discovered that the right side of his face was paralyzed. He couldn't blink, his jowls were sagging, he was slobbering, and he was unsteady when he walked.

We've taken him to numerous vets and he's been on all kinds of different medications. At first, they thought it was an ear infection in his right ear that was affecting a nerve and causing the trouble. So, they had him on heavy antibiotics, eye drops, and ear drops multiple times a day. That went on for probably 3 weeks, maybe more. We weren't happy with the first vet and went to a second for a second opinion. He said that the medicine the first vet had him on was not even right for an ear infection and could cause dry eye. So, they put him on a different medication, eye drops, and ear drops.

After weeks, his ear infection cleared up but he still is unsteady and has the weakness on the right side of his face. Now, his left nostril is leaking, he sneezes when he goes outside, and he's developed an ulcer in his left eye. His left eye has stopped producing tears as well. After the last visit, the vet said that she thinks it's time for us to get a brain scan and that she believes he has a "structure" somewhere in his nose or head. We called around everywhere and at first, they were telling us a brain scan would be $4,000.

We have already spent over two thousand dollars in veterinarian bills and meds, and the scan is only going to tell us what's wrong, not going to fix the issue. We were able to find a veterinarian who was not a neurologist who could do the scan. He has quoted us $1500 and we have scheduled that scan for September 4th (which was the earliest we could get in). So now, I am at the realization that even after this scan, Zeus is going to need some kind of surgery procedure and probably have to have eye drops for the rest of his life.

It's very hard and humbling for me to do and to ask, but I love my dog like my son, like my baby boy he is, and I would gladly humble myself and ask for you to help me save Zeus by donating anything you can spare. Thank you, God bless, and if nothing else, please say a prayer for us and Zeus.
