If you know Amanda, you know she is the kind of person who is always there for everyone else. She is a devoted mom, a loving partner, a caring daughter, and an incredible friend who has always put others before herself. Now, she needs our support.
In January 2025, Amanda found out she had a brain tumour and underwent major surgery to remove it. Just as she was beginning to heal, her family was dealt another heartbreaking blow when her mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma and started treatment. While supporting her mom, Amanda found out she had cancer as well. Sadly, her Mom passed away at the beginning of this year, just as Amanda was finishing chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Recently, Amanda has received the news that the cancer has spread. She will be undergoing a different kind of chemotherapy and radiation for continued treatment later this year.
Last year, Amanda and Josh purchased their first home together, excited to build a future with their family. Instead, they have spent the past year and a half navigating surgeries, treatments, hospital stays, grief, and uncertainty. Amanda has been unable to work during treatment, and Josh has taken time away from work to care for Amanda and their family. They are also exploring the possibility of specialized treatment outside of Canada, adding even more financial pressure.
We are Amanda's friends and family, and we're asking for your help so she can focus on what matters most: family & healing.
Your donation will help ease the financial burden by supporting:
-Medical and treatment-related expenses
-Household bills and everyday living costs
-Lost income while Amanda and Josh are away from work
-Travel expenses if specialized treatment outside of Canada becomes necessary
-Unexpected costs throughout Amanda's recovery
Anyone who knows Amanda knows she would be the first person to help someone else. Now it's our turn to stand beside her.
If you're able to donate, no amount is too small. If you can't donate, sharing Amanda's story would mean the world to her family.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Together, we can help give Amanda one less thing to worry about as she continues this fight.
