Hi, I’m Kylie, a 21-year-old college student, and this is my 7-year-old Frenchie, Finn. I’ve had him since I was 14 years old. He was gifted to me during a very low point in my life and absolutely turned my life around for the better. He’s my soul dog, my baby. He has been there for me all his life, so now I’d like to return the favor.

At the beginning of June, Finn had a tumor removed from his shoulder that we recently found out was a mast cell tumor. Mast cell tumors are cancerous, and the one on his shoulder will keep growing back, and new ones will form unless he receives treatment. Without it, he’s been given roughly 6 months to live.

I’ve decided to go ahead with chemo treatment, which I’ve been told could give us another two years with him, if not longer. I know 7 is considered old for a Frenchie, but he still has the playful energy and bright eyes of a puppy. I’m just not ready for him to go yet, and I don’t think he is either!!

As of right now, the plan is to do eight sessions of chemotherapy. One session a week for four weeks and then every other week for the remaining four sessions. Unfortunately, each treatment is $600, so the total for all eight will be around $4800. It’s a lot to ask for, which is why I’ve lowered the goal significantly for now. At the end of the day, he is worth it to me, and I’ll do whatever I can to make sure he gets those treatments, but absolutely anything helps, and I would be so grateful for any donations!
