Help us find safe temp housing (hostile roommate!)

Hi, our names are Divya and Amulya. We're being forced to vacate our apartment because of a roommate that makes our daily life hell.
We lived with one roommate originally who left abruptly due to COVID and didn't give us a chance to approve the incoming person before having her sign a lease. She is in sore need of psychiatric help and the system has failed her as well, but she refuses to seek treatment and much of the burden of care has fallen on us.
There are plenty of hygiene issues because she is unable to function and care for herself. Beyond that she has flashed and sexually harrassed us, lies about her motives, refuses to give us any space, and seeks out verbal confrontations with us. Somehow she seems to both hate us but always wants to be around us. Because she has a violent history, all authorities have told us that we should wait for a violent incident to occur so that the police can be called and something else can be done but that means we live every day in fear.
After speaking to her family, she was briefly sectioned but returned angrier than ever, screaming and blaming us for her time in the hospital. We were forced to call the police again. As a white woman from a wealthy family we fully believe racial dynamics played a role in how the police reacted to her story and dismissed ours. Because she is on the lease there is no way to make her leave and her family is now refusing to step in and respond to our messages.
Our landlord has refused to let us leave a month early in part because he hopes we'll continue to clean up after his tenant.
We're both hard-working children of immigrants who have been financially independent for some time, but our families cannot bear this cost for us. Both of us are headed to graduate schools in different cities in September, and our financial planning has gone down the drain. We never wanted to be put in this position but we can not afford to pay a second rent and vacate. Neither can we continue living in this situation.
We are asking for money to cover our portion of last month's rent so that we may secure some kind of temporary, safe housing for ourselves. We don't qualify for housing assistance (and we would definitely want those limited resources to be saved for families that need it), but because it would be a temporary situation (1 month) during COVID, our costs would likely be much higher (roughly $3000 based on what's currently available) at a weekly airbnb than for a single month of rent. We're hoping one month's rent will be enough where we can offset the remaining costs with our savings.
Each of our expenses would come out to $990 which is why we're asking for $1980 total. We would not be using this money for anything else, only to pay for our last month's rent while living in a major city so we can put that towards a different living situation. Any little bit would help! Thank you so much!
