My husband Paul has been diagnosed with Stage IV Oesophageal Cancer. This was a bolt from the blue for us and we are still reeling.
Treatments are going to cost at least $4,000 out of pocket to keep him in the private system that will be more convenient and comfortable for him.
With all he has coming up - radiation treatments that will "sunburn" his insides, chemotherapy that has side effects worse than the cancer - the last thing he should be worrying about is money and me.
He is my hero - still working, staying positive, worried about everyone but himself.
I am raising money to pay for the out of pocket costs of his treatment, plus some money to cover his income lost due to treatments and perhaps some extra towards a trip to the US. His incredible boss has offered to cover our airfare.
