This fall, my father started feeling ill and having headaches. He was told there was nothing the doctors in Nigeria could do for him. I knew that he would be able to receive better treatment in America with the advances in medical technology. We were able to bring him to America in early January and he was taken to ICU immediately once we brought him to the hospital. They discovered multiple problems that we were all unaware of including kidney failure. He is now on dialysis and is having radiation for a brain tumor. We were told that had he not come to the hospital, my father would have died within two weeks. We were just informed that his insurance will not cover the most of the medical costs here. We have spoken with the hospital billing office and we are truly scared about what will be done without funds to help pay for my father's medical care. We had to request a loan just to fund the cost of travel to bring my father to America, and now we have learned that his medical bills will be $100,000-200,000. Any amount you can contribute would be greatly appreciated!
