Hi, my name is Cain Stott, and I’ve recently been selected to represent Team GB at the WTKA Unified World Championships in Italy this October — a huge honour and the result of years of hard work, discipline, and dedication to my sport.
I started kickboxing 15 years ago when I was 6-7 but I stopped training for 8-9 years. Only 18 months ago, I started to train again, not just as a way to stay active, but as a turning point in my personal life. I decided to focus my energy on a passion that has pushed me to challenge myself, develop resilience, and stay committed through early mornings, tough training sessions, and countless competitions. This selection is a dream come true — the chance to wear the WSMA GB Elite Team kit, stand alongside some of the best fighters in the world, and represent my country on an international stage.
However, unlike many sports, kickboxing is considered an ‘amateur’ sport, meaning it is entirely self-funded. This means I need to personally cover the costs of travel, accommodation, competition entry fees, training expenses, and equipment. With this in mind, I’m asking for support to help make this incredible opportunity possible.
Any contribution — no matter the size — will help me get one step closer to Italy and ensure I can give my all, whilst representing Team GB. All support is massively appreciated, even just sharing this page with friends, family, or anyone who might be able to help would mean the world.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for helping me chase this dream.
Let’s go Team GB!
Cain
