As of the first week of 2020 my family, more specifically my dad, was faced with several difficulties. It started with a minor head cold that my dad thought was just that, eventually after experiencing double/blurry vision, inability to see clearly, read a phone, drive a car. Some time goes by and as he’s driving to a clinic at work to get either medicine or a diagnosis and has an episode that requires him to pull off the road. His vision goes and he can’t see anymore, a police officer pulls off and escorts him quickly down the road. Upon arrival and examination he is immediately placed in an ambulance en route to the hospital for further screening. After what seems days we finally get some answers, turns out my dad had not one but three strokes in three lobes of his brain. This explains the problems with vision, his personality was affected slightly as well. The occipital, parietal and frontal lobe‘s were getting a less than inadequate amount of blood flow, ultrasound and TEE of the neck showed us the blockage in his arteries, over 50% on both sides.  He is required to have a major surgery in order to remove the plaque and reduce the chance for stroke. He could have one on the table while under and it has been taking a major mental toll on both my mom and dad. Not only this but we just continue to have the medical bills pile up, my little brother is going to college in the fall and I’m currently in college. I wanted to do anything I could in order to help, anything is appreciated and goes 100% back to my father’s medical bills.
