Help Misha get back on his feet
Donation protected
Dear Stanislavsky Summer School and MXT friends,
As you may know our Misha suffered a debilitating stroke on Christmas 2015. The stroke has impaired his speech and compromised the use of his left arm and leg.
After a three week stay at hospital, he has been moved over to a rehab facility, for medical care, physical therapy and living support.
Unfortunately, the rehabilitation is far from free. All the money collected from his students in Russia covered only a portion of the first stay and some of medical procedures, while others, like removing two hazardous blood clots, have yet to be paid for.
As of January 30, 2015, the unpaid portion of the bill is 400,000 rubles ($5000).
And while the doctors are cautiously optimistic, the rehabilitation is necessary to help Misha get back on his feet, without it he may not be able to teach again or even care for himself.
Right now, it is best for Misha to stay for another 21 days at the rehab, to ensure a second stroke doesn't take place. The stay will cost atleast another $5000, if no other medical procedures come up.
The stay will likely be extended until the doctors are sure that they've done all that they can.
Please, help us get Misha back on his feet and back in the classroom, where he belongs.
