Help Reinvent Store and Bring it to Your Door

What is our purpose?

Store is the only place in Fiveways and surrounding areas where you can get everyday products plastic-free.
We’re working hard to reduce the 2.5 million tonnes of plastic packaging used in the UK every year.
We’re here to help your community live more sustainably. We also support local businesses by stocking many local suppliers.

Why we need to change?

Since the pandemic many of you are working and commuting more again. You have less time to do your weekly shop, and getting your refills alongside isn’t always convenient.

And as the rising cost of living puts pressure on wallets – you are, of course, looking to save where you can.

However, the climate crisis and all the issues that come with it aren’t going away. Quite the opposite in fact. Concerns around sustainability, reducing waste and cutting down on single use plastic are still high on the agenda for many of us.

So, we need to make it easier for customers to get plastic-free sustainable products and at a fair price.

What changes are we planning?

We’re adapting how we operate and we’re going to make some big, exciting, and necessary changes to make plastic-free shopping easier and more accessible to everyone. This includes:

  •  Building a new website with an online shop offering plastic-free home deliveries in partnership with Zedify, a zero-emissions delivery service.

  •  Stocking a brand-new range of products available in home compostable packaging to make it even easier and more convenient to shop plastic-free, plus giving us the opportunity to expand our food range – hoorah!

  • The Refit - consolidating our two shops into one site (Store Next Door) allows us to keep offering refills for food and household and laundry products. This will enable us to reduce our overheads and continue to provide a comprehensive range. And don’t worry, we’ll be able to keep all your favourite products with some clever store design and nifty fittings!

We need your help!

As a small business we need your help to fund these exciting changes and ensure Store can continue to offer our community a place to choose quality, affordable, plastic-free products.

Our goal is to raise £8,000

With this, we’ll revamp Store Next Door to be fully stocked and ready to roll in September. Also to invest in developing our online shop.
