Hello, my name is Rebecca and I have End Stage Renal Disease. Mine specifically is Polycystic Kidney Disease, and I'm a single mother of two. 17 years ago, I was diagnosed and told dialysis, transplant, and death would be the results of this disease; there is no cure.
In August of 2024, I had to start dialysis due to kidney failure, but then a miracle happened . I got a call for a match from a deceased donor, and I had a kidney transplant on 1/6/25—a second chance at life with my babies. I then attempted to return to work in April 2025 and had multiple complications and had to stop working (doing exactly what I love doing, helping others working for a nephrologist's office ❤️). Since then, I have applied for disability and now I am scheduled for a double nephrectomy on 9/17/25, which means they will go in and take out my two native (born with) kidneys due to causing a lot of pain and inflammation/infections, etc.
Now, with all of this comes all the big bills that my insurance is reporting as my portion, and with no job, it means no income to pay said bills along with daily bills and living expenses (power, water, gas, etc.). Being a single mother of two (they are 15 and 8 years old), I have filed for full medical disability after trying to still work, but medically it just wasn’t in the cards.
So, until I receive the determination from the government on disability and getting a monthly check, I'm stooping down and taking advice to ask if anyone would like to donate to my kids and myself during this troubling time to take a little stress off myself and my family as they have been the backbone of support through all of this. If anything at all, I will take prayers as I know my God always finds a way for me and my children . Thank you all for the time of reading this and for any donations you're able to contribute. Much love and remember:
