Maria de Jesus, Favorably known as Marichuy, Entered God's heavenly Kingdom on October 15th 2020.She was initially admitted to the hospital back in May due to Covid 19 symptoms. A few hours later she was sedated and intubated with a ventilator. She was then transferred to a different hospital by helicopter because the first one didn't have the proper equipment for her care. A few weeks later she was placed on ECMO machine which oxygenated her blood and kept her alive. We knew this wasn't good and the doctors would say that she would only deteriorate and her chance of recovery was 0. We would listen to the doctors with one ear and with the other ear we would listen to God and think about what would be best for her,so we kept fighting for her as a family and the doctors also said they had never seen someone fight for their life as much as my mom did. Unfortunately she wasn't a lung transplant candidate because she was sedated and not able to move on her own. We placed my mother in God's hands and hoped for a miracle to bring back her lungs. Her battle for life ended at the St. Luke's Hospital in Downtown Houston. Leaving behind her loving Husband 2 sons 1 daughter and two beautiful grandchildren....May she rest in Paradise!!
