Feed Starving Families in Afghanistan

My family and I are creating this GoFundMe to feed starving families in Afghanistan. Last year during Ramadan, we successfully raised roughly $11,500 USD, providing food to families in small villages.

According to the World Health Organization, Afghanistan is still in the midst of one of the world's largest humanitarian crises ever. The continuing economic instability has led to more than half the population without jobs. Hunger is rummaging the country. With roughly 19 million people experiencing extreme food insecurity, the country is facing a grave famine. The already harrowing death rate in the country is only exacerbated by malnutrition and hunger-related diseases. Due to these worsening conditions, we wanted to create another donation page to support those on the brink of starvation.

The need for food is especially pertinent today during the holy month of Ramadan. A majority of the fasting individuals in the country don’t have the means to afford a piece of bread let alone a full meal to break their fast.

That said, our goal is to assist families by providing a food survival package. Each package aims to feed a small family and will include:

40kg Bag of flour → $1450 AFN

7kg of Sugar → $370 AFN

1kg of Black Tea → $380 AFN

7kg of Beans → $800 AFN

10L of Oil → $1000 AFN

The preceding package is estimated to cost around $55 USD. My family living in Afghanistan will purchase the items and help distribute them to the villages that are in most need. Please help us in reaching our goal as we aim to assist those who are faced with unimaginable circumstances. Your small contribution can be the reason why a family survives starvation.
