Wrongly Convicted Father Released on Appeal Needs Housing

I am a documentary filmmaker who made a film called "Fatal Distraction" about the phenomenon of children dying of heat stroke when a parent unknowingly leaves a child behind in a hot car.
I learned of Ross Harris after the accidental death of his beloved son, Cooper, in 2014. After a change in his morning routine, Ross drove to work believing he had already dropped his toddler off at daycare. When Ross returned to his vehicle late afternoon he was devastated to discover he had mistakenly left his son in the car and that he had tragically died of heat stroke.
.
Unsympathetic to the heartbreaking accident, a politically ambitious prosecutor charged Ross with murder, and a jury — tainted by misinformed and vengeful media coverage — found Ross guilty. Ross was sentenced to life without parole and has been incarcerated for 10 years.
In June of 2022, Georgia's Supreme Court overturned Ross's conviction, citing a prejudicial trial and lack of evidence.
Two years later, Ross is finally scheduled to be released from custody, however every dollar he had was spent on his legal defense, and he is in dire need of a place to live. Since landlords require proof of employment (which Ross does not have), he will be unable to rent an apartment, even if he could afford one.
100% of donations will go to the purchase of an old camper for Ross' housing and transportation as he seeks to reclaim his life.
