Wrongfully Convicted at 72 – We Need Your Help to Appeal
Donation protected
We are reaching out during an incredibly difficult time for our family. Our 72-year-old father has been convicted of serious charges involving a minor, his stepdaughter. His sentencing is expected in the coming weeks. Due to the nature of the allegations, he may never regain his freedom and could spend the rest of his life behind bars. The thought that he may never see life outside of prison again breaks our hearts. We are devastated, particularly because we believe the evidence presented during the trial was inconsistent, unreliable, and deeply flawed.
We firmly believe the allegations against our father were fabricated. The minor involved was influenced by her mother, our father’s second wife, who came to the UK from India. Once in the UK she cut off all communication between us and our father and had no intention to ever reconnect in the near future. We have reason to believe she married our father primarily for financial gain. Over time, she took control of his finances, left him with more than £200,000 in debt and subjected him to severe emotional, physical, and verbal abuse. When her attempts to break him failed, we believe she manipulated her daughter into falsely accusing him.
Our father is a UK citizen of good character with no previous involvement with the police. He has always been a caring and respectful man, surrounded by his daughters, their friends and his granddaughters. He is not the kind of person capable of what he has been accused of, especially not at this late stage in life.
He is also mentally vulnerable, and we are extremely concerned for his wellbeing in prison. Adding to our distress, since being in UK she has always denied us access to the family home, which we consider to be our rightful inheritance.
During the trial, both the mother and daughter gave conflicting testimonies, raising serious questions about the fairness and integrity of the legal process. Despite these inconsistencies, the jury found him guilty on all counts. We believe the verdict was heavily influenced by family conflict, manipulation, and unresolved financial disputes.
We need your help to appeal this conviction. However, because of the complexity and seriousness of the case, we are not eligible for legal aid. In order to pursue justice, we urgently need to hire an experienced private criminal lawyer to review the case and represent us in the appeal. In addition to the appeal, we are also seeking to recover our family home, which we believe has been unjustly taken from us.
All funds raised will go directly toward Private legal representation for the appeal, Court costs and associated legal fees, Efforts to recover our family home. Even if you cannot contribute financially, sharing this campaign can help us reach others who might be able to support us. Every donation, share, and kind word brings us one step closer to justice and to bringing our father home.
Thank you for your compassion and support during this incredibly painful time. We truly appreciate any help you can offer.
