Today July 10th 2018, we received the news we never thought we would be receiving. My husband Christopher Kamakea was officially Diagnosed with T Cell LYMPHOMA which is a cancer in the lymph nodes. Chris has been here at kaiser hospital in Oregon since June 24th 2018 , they ran a lot of tests and treated him with a few different types of antibiotics but none seem to work. He’s had a fever of 103 for 3 weeks now and doctors could not understand why, they were treating this as if it’s a rare infection. On Friday June 29th 2018 they took chris in for a biopsy on a swollen lymph node near his pelvic area (also has 2 swollen lymph nodes under right arm pit size of golf balls) and we waited over a week for results back from Stanford. Now chris been out of work since he’s been in here and although he does get some pay being out with me only working we can’t afford to pay our bills and this medical bill we are about to be hit with, he does stress but I constantly tell him his health is what’s important he nor anyone could have controlled something like this things just happen and now we figure out how to deal with it. He does have insurance but we will be paying out of pocket for A percentage of all of this.  As his wife I’m filled with mix emotions right now, do I cry or do I stay strong for him? With all these bills we are about to receive our stress just got worse, we already have a hard time living paycheck to paycheck to pay off our bills at home now this, what do we do? Now making this go fund me does hurt us, hurts our pride of being able to do everything on our own but with the financial situation we know we won’t make it. So please anything will help
