Growing Moustaches, Raising Awareness, Saving Lives!

This November, the lads at White Rose Leodis FC (WRL) are putting down their razors, growing some questionable moustaches and coming together for something much bigger than football!

WHY ARE WE DOING MOVEMBER?

At WRL, we are more than just a football team. We are a group of lads who came together through weight loss, fitness, friendship and a shared passion for football.

Many of us have faced our own battles, whether that’s with our weight, confidence, mental health or the everyday pressures of life.

We know firsthand just how important it is to have people around you who listen, support you and remind you that you’re never alone.

That’s why this Movember, we’re raising money for ANDY’S MAN CLUB, a fantastic men’s mental health charity that provides free peer-to-peer support groups and encourages men to open up and talk.

WHY IT MATTERS

Too many men suffer in silence.

Too many feel they have to put on a brave face.

Too many struggle to ask for help.

And sadly, too many lives are lost to suicide.

We want to help change that.

At WRL, we believe that it’s okay to talk, it’s okay to struggle, and it’s okay to ask for help.

Sometimes all it takes is a conversation, a teammate checking in or someone willing to listen.

WHAT ARE THE LADS DOING?

Throughout November, our players will be growing their finest (and probably most ridiculous ) moustaches to raise awareness and sponsorship.

Expect some terrible facial hair, plenty of banter and hopefully lots of money raised for an incredible cause!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We’re asking our friends, families, supporters, sponsors and the wider football community to get behind us.
