Help Lisa Win the Battle of her Life
Lisa has spent her entire life helping others. As a daughter, wife, mother, friend, and nurse, Lisa has given selflessly of herself to anyone and everyone who needs it. Now Lisa needs OUR help. Two years ago, Lisa had to say goodbye to her mother who lost her battle with cancer. Just over one year later, Lisa was herself diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.
Within the last year, Lisa has undergone a double mastectomy, six months of chemotherapy, 32 rounds of radiation and is now facing a hysterectomy and gallbladder removal and then, finally, reconstructive surgery. As a school nurse, Lisa has been unable to work since her diagnoses a year ago. With her husband self-employed, the families' health insurance is through Lisa's job and the family is now facing COBRA payments, as well as the cancellation of Lisa's life insurance through her employer.
With the loss of Lisa's income, the bills are piling up and although it is hard to ask for help, that is what Lisa needs in order to keep her family and home up and running. Lisa has helped and inspired so many of us over the years - now she needs our help! If we can help with some of the expenses, Lisa will be free to concentrate on beating this once and for all!
