Biography
Dionne Charmaine Walker is an award-winning BAFTA debut writer, director or producer nominee,2 X British Independent
Film Awards Nominee, Sundance, BFI Network Crew, BAFTA Guru & British Council International Producer Programme Alumni. She is from a multi-disciplinary art & media background, her latest work includes producing on 'Gassed Up', UK Cinema theatrical released feature (2024) documentary, short films Carbon (2020), The Cold Spell Last Winter (2018), One People and Black Voters Speak (2010).
For many years as Commissioner and Producer she worked in partnership with grassroots media organisations in London while heading up the Camden One-Stop Film Agency which simultaneously coordinated locations for Indie & blockbuster projects, and produced productions for news, TV, Film, Games, Music and Commercial Promos. During this time she also published her first book titled The Informer filmmakers' guide, British Library catalogued, later publications include Gamma/Jaamaa Urban Fragments: Casablanca/Edinburgh.
Dionne is also currently the Company Director at Nanny (Maroon) State Film & TV Productions Ltd, in addition to setting up the Camden One-Stop Film Agency in 1996, part of Film London network, she founded the 1998 Urban Art (& Film) Network and in 2007 UK registered organisation diverse world, diverse audiences, diverse films Ltd now dvrseworld Curatorial, Outreach E-Zine & Movement. Also founded Social Media handles, Other & Othering @ Facebook & Instagram #FirstFemalesVoice, #FilmEagle and _Second _ Sex @ X, formerly Twitter with upwards of 18K distribution members, circulation & viewership.
