Duckwitz-Wright Family, Thomas Fire

The evening of December 4th, 2017 will be forever etched into the minds of so many Venturans. The Thomas fire engulfed the hills of our sweet little beach town. Hundreds of families packed hastily and scrambled to evacuate their homes not knowing if they would ever go back. Unfortunately, Bill and Cindi Wright and their 12 year old son found out in the early hours of December 5th that their house did not survive.  The devastation in the hills of Ventura is beyond comprehension.

Thankfully, the Wrights had solid insurance and will rebuild. Unfortunately, many families did not have insurance. Bill Wright would like to turn this horrific event into a story of survival and hope. Families have been identified that are suffering greatly due to this national tragedy. The myriad of items that have to be replaced is staggering. Bikes, tools, shoes, books, clothing, furniture...the list can go on and on. Bill lives side by side with the effected families. He will personally take funds raised from this site and disperse them directly to families in need. Photos will be posted as the gifts are given. Help us lift those that have lost everything.
