Support Andrea’s Fight Against Cancer!

Hi everyone! My name is Brittani, and I'm creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister, Andrea.

Anyone who knows her, knows- she is full of life, love, humor, and so much more. There’s never a dull moment around her and she is always helping and giving to anyone that she can. On top of being an amazing super mom to my niece (5 years old) and nephew (3 years old), she’s also one heck of a nurse who has always went above and beyond for her patients. She is always taking care of everyone, but it’s time for her to be taken care of ❤️

Recently, she received a life-changing diagnosis: Stage 2 Hodgkins lymphoma. She has already undergone her first chemotherapy session and now she is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life—battling cancer while continuing to raise and support her children. Ever since she received her diagnosis, her biggest focus as she talks with me has been her desire to stay in the best shape possible so that she can be there for her kids and still go to work to be able to pay bills. Last year she made huge life changes when it comes to healthy eating and lifestyle and especially now she has done even more research into natural things that can potentially aid in her cancer battle. She is truly so committed to her health!

Despite her diagnosis, she remains so determined to fight this disease with strength, faith, and love. She’s truly stronger than anyone I know and she’s working to not just survive, but to heal and thrive—for her children and for her future.

Unfortunately, after her first treatment, she has already had some setbacks with her physical

health and side effects. She is overall okay, but it is taking more of a toll on her than she hoped.

She was attempting to still work her 12hr shifts but it has been very difficult for her. She has decided to accept short-term disability but it doesn’t come close to covering the full weight of the financial burden, including:

- Medical co-pays and chemotherapy expenses

- Childcare during treatment sessions

- Holistic and nutritional therapies to strengthen her body and immune system

- Summer programs and sports for her kids to maintain a sense of normalcy

- Preventing financial hardship and future debt from loss of work

and these are all things that are on top

of her typical bills/expenses.

I know she did not ask me to do this, and obviously I, along with her family/support system are going to help her as much as we can-but I would love to get her as much help as possible so that she can focus on her health and getting through chemo. Knowing that stress and rise of cortisol levels can exacerbate her condition makes me worry because I know how hard she will push herself for those babies. No one deserves cancer, and no one deserves to have to stress about finances and taking care of their children when going through chemo with the toll it takes on your body. She is SO strong and I am SO proud of her, but I want her to be able to rest, spend time with her kids and take care of herself mentally and physically through this battle.
