As many of you know, on June 28th, Adam suffered a significant spinal cord injury after diving into a swimming pool. Adam was instantly paralyzed after hitting his head and subsequently drowned. If not for the heroic lifesaving efforts of those present who resuscitated Adam, this story may have ended much differently. Fortunately, Adam was revived and underwent an extensive eight-hour surgery to attempt to repair the damage. He is currently admitted to the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Neurological Intensive Care Unit.
Adam is relentlessly fighting to regain his strength in order to be transferred to the MetroHealth Spine Center. The hope is that this will occur within the next week. Adam has been told to expect a lengthy inpatient stay at MetroHealth, but he has been given no definitive timetable. Adam has minimal use of his upper body and is unable to move his fingers. He has no feeling from the waist down with the exception of slight feeling in his hips. Adam has been told he faces extremely long odds to regain feeling in his legs and feet but Adam is DETERMINED and MOTIVATED not to abandon that goal.
As you can imagine, Rohn & Judy will incur significant expenses in connection with his new normal, which will not otherwise be covered by insurance or other resources. Please help if you can.
Adam's family would like to thank the many friends, family and community members who have reached out to support Adam through this difficult time. The outpouring of love and encouragement has been overwhelmingly touching to them and instrumental in aiding Adam's battle to get himself as healthy as possible.
