We are a youth football club based in the North East of England offering inclusive football to children in the community aged 1-19.
This year one of our players were sadly diagnosed with Nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma. A form of cancer.
As a club we have decided to raise funds for the charity's supporting children in our area going through similar battles.
Chosing to donate to
The Teenage Cancer trust, and
The Great North Childrens Hospital - ward 4/14 (children's oncology).
Teenage Cancer Trust is a cancer care and support charity in the UK that exists to improve childrens experiences during cancer providing specialised teenage units in NHS hospitals
Ward 4/14 provide intensive care and treatment such as chemotherapy and supportive treatments for children and young people in the North East of England.
As an established football club with 20 teams involved we have set ourselves a target to raise £5k by running fundraising events as a club over this upcomming season 25/26. At the end of season 26 funds will be split between the 2 charities.
Our 1st fundraiser will kick off at 11.30 on the 19th July 2025 at the Wardley Welfare, Mannor gardens NE10 8UZ where our coaches and parents take to the pitch for a charity football match against another local club Felling Magpies, who are raising funds for their own cause.
Everyone is welcome to come and support this event.
Any support by sponsoring our team for this charity match or donating our up and coming activities will make a huge difference to children needing our chosen charities.
Thank you for your support, from
Wrekenton nou camp yfc- committee, teams and supporters.
