Wrecked my family's only vehicle and need help.

I'm Jeremy Hawthorne. That's my daughter, Rylie in the pic with me. I'm a struggling single father who'll do anything he can for his little girl. It's a hard life, but one that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Today, April 18, we were involved in a one-car accident that has left me without any means of transportation to my job, or anywhere else for that matter, for the foreseeable future. I have auto insurance, but I still have to come up with not only my policy's $500 deductible but also at least $200 deposit for a rental vehicle since I do not own a credit card.

I live paycheck to paycheck and am already feeling the aftermath of this catastrophe thanks to missing a day of work. I'm a cook at the local Red Lobster here and have been actively searching for another job during the day to help make ends meet before this accident. Ironically, I'd gotten a reply back about a second job cooking for a rehab and retirement home nearby this morning. As of right now, I've got no way to get to work and take my daughter to school, never mind being able to schedule an interview there.

This is going to cut a hole into my funds that were supposed to go towards our normal cycle of bills this week: phone bill, power, water, etc. I'm asking for this seemingly small amount to help my daughter and I get back on our feet asap so that there's not any more snowball effect from the accident. I'm waiting to hear back from my auto insurance adjuster to see where I go from here about my car, but life (and bills) stops for no one. I am scheduled to work every day for the rest of this week. Without a way there, I'm likely to lose my job and have an even deeper hole to crawl out of.

Every little bit helps. If I could physically come to everyone who potentially donates and do even the most mundane task as a way of saying thank you from the bottom of my heart, I'd be right there on it as a way of repayment. I've never made a Gofundme before, so I honestly don't know how it works. But we are in dire need at this very moment. I feel like my own pride is taking a hit doing this, as I've always tried to be SuperDad and do everything I could to ensure my little girl is taken care of. With this major setback, I feel like I'm letting her down and I cannot do that. I do not want my daughter to have this dread and worry that I'm carrying right now as I type. So thank you if you do donate to our cause or even if you just share it on your own social media platforms.
