Double Lung Transplant Fundraiser for Aldo Turchi

Aldo is undergoing a double lung transplant surgery and is in need of your help. He has been battling a progressive and rare lung disease for about 11 years and relies on an in-home oxygen tank as well as a portable oxygen tank 24/7. Many things that we take for granted in our everyday lives can be a struggle for Aldo. He is unable to walk even a couple of feet without needing to sit down to catch his breath. His disease has progressed to an extent where it is extremely hard for him to leave his house. Many things that he enjoyed doing throughout his life have slowly diminished due to his illness. The only way for Aldo to continue living without fighting for his life is by getting this surgery. Aldo has finally been approved to receive the double lung transplant which will take place at Toronto General Hospital. Due to the surgery taking place in Toronto, Aldo must re-locate for a minimum of 3/4 months. He will need to stay in Toronto after his transplant with a caregiver, as well as receiving physiotherapy before he is strong enough to come back home to his family. As of now, it is not funded by the government, so please if you are fortunate enough to donate even a little bit, it would be greatly appreciated. His family, friends and loved ones are doing all they can to support him, but we all know the move to Toronto alone, does not come cheap and with this pandemic it has become quite impossible.
