Our football community is heartbroken to share that we have lost one of our own far too soon. Dale Ostenberg, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7th 2025. His sudden passing has left his wife, Veronica, a devoted DJUSD employee and their three children Isaiah, Nevaeh and Elijah - all students in our Davis community who attend, North Davis, Korematsu and Holmes Jr. High facing a future without the love and support of their father.

Dale Ostenberg was more than just a parent on the sidelines — he was a true member of our football family. Whether cheering at games, volunteering his time, or offering a helping hand, he brought warmth, encouragement, and community spirit wherever he went. His smile and presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

In the midst of this tragedy, the Ostenberg family is left not only with unimaginable grief but also with financial burdens that come with such a sudden loss. We are coming together as a community to help ease some of that burden. The funds raised will go directly to supporting Veronica and the children with funeral expenses, household needs, and the many unexpected costs that come during this heartbreaking time.
