The Goodwins world was turned upside down in an instant.
Sweet baby Azariah made her entrance 6 weeks early under life-threatening circumstances. What was supposed to be a normal day turned into an emergency C-section that nearly cost both mom (Jess) and baby Azariah lives. By God's grace, Azariah was saved and life-flighted to a hospital for specialized care. She is currently in Morgantown at the Children's Hospital on a feeding tube and mom Jess has recently been rushed to the ER after struggling to breathe, and doctors found multiple blood clots in her lungs. Azariah's dad (Mike) has been an absolute rock through it all and supporting them all as much as he can, but they cannot do this alone.
Jess and Mike have been covering every expense out of pocket so far- gas, food, and lodging near the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House won't let them stay having their other daughter Sariah with them and the Rosenbaum House won't take them in because Azariah isn't above 18 years old. They've done everything possible to provide for their family on their own, but the costs keep adding up quickly. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden so they can focus fully on Jess's recovery and baby Azariah's healing.
Her parents' biggest wish is to focus on their baby's healing without the added stress of worrying how to make ends meet.
We are asking for help to ease this burden and give Azariah's family the support they need. Every donation- big or small- goes directly toward:
- Food and Gas for travel to and from the hospital
- A safe place for her parents to stay nearby
- Other necessities that help them stay strong for Azariah
If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser so more people can hear Azariah's story. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.
Jess and Mike are always the first to show up and help everyone around them- now it's time to surround them with the same love and support. Together, we can help lift this family up during one of the hardest times of their lives.
