Help our comrade Angie get custom orthotics!!

We are raising medical funds for our dear friend and comrade Angie to get custom orthotics. If you've met her before, you know that she might just be the kindest and most generous person alive, and now she needs OUR support.

In 2020, Angie suffered an ankle injury that caused her arches to collapse, putting significant strain on the outer ligaments of her ankle. If you have or know anyone with flat feet, you know the pain and its impact on daily life.

Angie is constantly on her feet, traveling and organizing, for both international solidarity against sanctions on C*u*b*a and for justice right here in the U.S.

Unfortunately, the healthcare system in the United States is broken, and Angie has already spent thousands of dollars seeking treatment, including temporary relief from casts. She's had to rely on generic orthotics ( the kind from drugstores), which do not provide the necessary support and wear down quickly. This means she's constantly replacing shoes, which only adds to the cost.

Angie needs customized orthotics, which can last for 10-20 years. However, health insurance in the U.S. doesn't require coverage for these, and they can cost up to $1000, including scans and doctor's visits.

Even a small donation can make a significant difference in her life. Angie is an important part of our community, and we want her to walk without pain.
