My name is Erica and I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer this past May. For those of you who know me, you know that I'm always cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong, and always put my friends and family before myself. In fact, for the longest time, no one would've guessed I even had cancer while I was going through it for months.
I underwent surgery at the end of May to remove the cancer, which was successful. As a result, I had to undergo months of chemotherapy starting in July through December and lost all my hair after the first treatment. But, with further testing after being in the hospital the last week of December, cancerous cells were detected in my abdomen area and the cancer has now returned again and is spreading throughout my body. It's affected my legs drastically to where I can barely stand for a long period of time or even get up most days.
Because of this, I have been unable to work and will likely not be able to return in the meantime. I will begin chemotherapy on the 23rd of this month. Some of my medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money is getting tighter and tighter.
Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated. Personally, what you can do to help and surround me with love is what is most important. Even if it is just keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. Please spread the word. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
