Kevin's Cancer Fund

Kevin was diagnosed with stage four cancer of the esophagus this year. It started back earlier this year when he was having trouble swallowing his food. After seeing a physician who then referred him to a gastroenterologist, they ordered a biopsy. The biopsy came back positive. A CAT scan was then scheduled in order to tell us how far the cancer had progressed.  It took longer than expected to find an oncologist who would accept his insurance.  The oncologist was then able to read the CAT scan and give him the prognosis that he had stage four cancer. Essentially the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes.

The cancer has rapidly spread throughout Kevin's body which has caused him to not be able to work. In the mean time he has also been losing weight which has caused him to be very weak and unable to do a lot of his every day activities. 

Kevin is now on constant Chemo and carries around a pump. Because Kevin was unable to have solid food to begin with, eating has been one of the most difficult parts of his journey.
