She was never just my mom, she was everyone’s momma. No matter who you were or how long she knew you, you were loved, welcomed and she’d be sure to fix you up something to eat. She was kind, loving, caring, funny, generous, selfless and a little crazy but most of all she was STRONG. She was always a fighter and we know she fought to stay with us until her very last breath. 


On September 4th, while home with her kids Elizabeth, or Chiqui as most of you know her, had a heart attack. Unfortunately, between the hesitation to call 911 and waiting on the ambulance, she was without oxygen for approximately 22 minutes. Due to the lack of oxygen, she suffered too much damage to her brain and would never fully come back. She is survived by her husband Sergio, her daughters Destiny, Ariel, Clarissa, Julissa, Alyssa, her sons Luis, Mario and Sergio and her nieces who were like daughters, Monica, Cynthia, Tiffany and all of her grandchildren.
