We are raising funds on behalf of Kamila, a mother in Afghanistan who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
In most countries, breast cancer at this stage can still be treated. In Afghanistan, it cannot. There is no reliable access to specialized oncology care, chemotherapy, or cancer surgery. Without urgent treatment, Kamila’s condition will continue to deteriorate.
Why Kamila Must Leave Afghanistan to Survive
Kamila’s only chance is to travel outside Afghanistan, most realistically to Pakistan or another neighboring country, where proper cancer treatment is available. However, this comes with enormous financial barriers.
We believe in transparency and want donors to understand how contributions will support Kamila’s treatment. Below is an estimated breakdown of the costs involved:
Medical visa, documentation, and facilitation: USD 5,000
(visa processing, medical letters, legal and administrative requirements)
Travel & accommodation (patient + caregiver): USD 3,000 – 4,000
(international travel, local transportation, basic accommodation during treatment)
Medical diagnostics & imaging: USD 2,000
(biopsies, scans, blood work, treatment planning)
Breast cancer surgery (mastectomy): USD 6,000 – 8,000
Chemotherapy (multiple cycles): USD 10,000 – 15,000
Medication & post-treatment care: USD 3,000
(supportive medication, follow-up visits, recovery needs)
Estimated Total Needed: USD 30,000 – 35,000
Any funds raised beyond immediate treatment costs will be used for continued medical care, medication, and recovery support as advised by doctors.
Please Help Us Give Kamila a Chance to Live
We are sharing Kamila’s story because time is critical. No one should face a life-threatening illness without access to care simply because of where they live.
If you are able to donate, your support could help save Kamila’s life.
If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser is an equally powerful way to help.
Thank you for standing with Kamila and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
