Hi friends, as most of you know my dad has Stage 4 Colon Cancer and has been fighting the fight since last May, we have 3 more Chemo treatments to go (so 6 weeks) and although it IS shrinking the tumor in the liver the chemo has been very hard on dad. He has been in and out of the hospital, weak from falling, and his organs started to shut down two weeks ago BUT he, once again, fought through it! Now we are at the stage that he needs 24/7 care at home, and it is not covered by insurance or medicare ...since he can not go to Hospice since he is still getting treatment, and can't be in assisted living because he needs a nurse full time for his ostomy bag and to make sure he eats, drinks, and doesn't fall...full time home care is what the doctors have deemed best for him. This is $16/hour, so for half the time needed that is $192/day just for 12 hours, and for just ONE month $5952. We will need at least two months of care so anything you can give will help! I am not one to ask for help but I have been supporting dad for almost a year and the medical expenses have been over baring. So if you give $16 today that is an hour of care and we THANK YOU.
