Hello everyone! My name is Hadleigh Lenora or you can just call me Haddie:) I am 2.5 years old from Bristol, TN. I was a very healthy little girl who was full of energy and spunk until I got sick.
My story begins on 01/07/2020 when I went to the ER for complaining of "hurting" but couldn't explain where but would get very upset from whatever pain it was. After several xrays and blood test were given a diagnosis of possible Leukemia and they were going to admit me for observation and conformation of another blood test. that test came back positive for Leukemia or ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) and my whole world was turned upside down and my little life was disrupted. I was flown by air-med jet to St. Jude in Memphis TN, 500 miles away from my home.
Now a few words from my mommy and daddy.
Since her diagnosis the doctor and social worker has stated to us that Haddie would need 24 hour care and neither of us would be able to work, our job was now Haddie! So far we have been faced with many challenges and trying to adjust to the new normal and new daily routine.
Our Haddie is strong and brave and we are leaning on God to carry our sweet girl through this challenging and difficult journey. Haddie receives three chemo treatments twice a week. Two for the cancer in her bones and one for the cancer cells in her spinal fluid. This will be a long and lengthy fight for us all which includes Medical Bills once we go inpatient to the childrens hospital once we get to leave St. Jude. Travel expences as we will have to travel back every three months or even sooner depending on how treatment is going. As there will be other medical related expenses for a significant amount of time. Hadleigh will be receiving treatments for two and a half years. This is a place we never thought we would be in as our world came crashing down when we were told out little girl had cancer. This is something a parent should never have to go through. With this new way of life we are constantly consumed by stress and worry every minute and then comes the worry of paying our bills. We've never had to ask for help but unfortunately we are in a difficult place right now and any kind of donation would be greatly appreciated during our time of need and aid us in helping fight this terrible disease.
God has always blessed us to be able to help others, and now we humbly need help ourselves.
