Brad was born with a birth defect in his heart. He is adopted so no one knew his medical history.
Brad had no insurance. We are not married which means no FMLA time or vacation time for  me while caring for him. He will not be able to drive for at least a month, he can not lift anything over 10lbs. He will be doing cardiac rehab and visiting a Coumadin Clinic a few times a week. It will likely be several months before he can return to any kind of job.
We haven't even seen a medical bill yet (afraid to look). We are asking for donations to cover living expenses until he can go back to work---then we can work on paying medical bills on our own. Also there is no comfortable place for him to sleep because of the open heart surgery so we are looking for a large inexpensive recliner so he can get some rest.
