Still Shelley Smiles

In the world of illness, chronic or acute, Shelley Baker has seen her fair share. When you see her, you see a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother who’s laugh is infectious and caring spirit makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the world. What you don’t see is chronic pain and a silent struggle with Crohns, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and fibromyalgia. To know her story of the battles she has faced is to know a true warrior. Still she smiles, still she radiates positivity, and still she cares for others before herself.

This past year, her health has not just taken a turn, it has taken a beating. A TIA (mini stroke), hospitalized Covid stay, brain injury, fractured spine, sudden onset deafness, and a hole in her heart that requires surgery by the end of 2022 to name a few. As a daughter and friend, it is hard to see her smile start to fade. I am raising money to help cover the countless doctor visits, tests, scans, hearing aids/cochlear implants and heart surgery to ease this financial burden. I thank you for the continued prayers and support to bring back strength and the smile that defines Shelley Baker.
