Todd Hescock passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, after a brief illness. Todd was an energetic, honest soul, dearly beloved by friends and family, and his passing has been a blow to all whose lives he touched.

Todd’s passion and zest for life and love for his family were unmatched, and his love of Patriots football was unrivaled. He never met a stranger, and his gift for “telling it like it is” over a cold beer endeared him to all who were lucky enough to have his opinions bestowed on them. He would give you his opinion whether or not you wanted it, but it always came from a place of love. His honesty and loving nature made him a wonderful friend to have on your side, and his kind smile was his guarantee that you mattered to him. His boundless energy and enthusiasm for life are well known by those close to him. He was the life of the party and gained many friends during his journey. He will be deeply missed by all, especially by his best friend and wife of 15 years, Shellie. They were inseparable and had such an inspiring and loving relationship. Everyone who knew them could see the love these two shared. He shared this boundless love with his daughters, Taylor and Landen and thought their husbands, Nolan and Austin, “weren’t too bad” either. Todd was excited to become a grandfather to Oslo, expected by Taylor and Nolan in February.

Todd was a talented craftsman and had a hand in many construction projects around the Wilmington area. He owned his own business, Square Deal Construction, for 28 years and spent the last 3 ½ years doing construction quality control with Bill Clark Homes.

The family will celebrate Todd’s life well lived on October 8th, 12:00 PM at Diamonds, where he and Shellie were regulars. All friends and loved ones are welcome to celebrate and share stories and memories of Todd, whose impact on us all will never be forgotten.

The money raised will help pay for Todd’s medical bills and final expenses. Any donations are welcome and will help Shellie navigate this difficult time.
