Sarah's Argentina Service Trip 2016

My dear Friends and Family, last summer I had the great opportunity to volunteer through Global Leadership in Costa Rica. The 10 days I spent working on projects benefitting a poor community that included the rebuilding of classrooms, playgrounds, and other needed services. Needless to say, this experience was incredibly rewarding.

I have set my sights on a project this coming summer that will make a difference in the lives of local families as we work together to build structurally sound family homes for those living in poor communities on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Last years experience taught me the value of giving to those that aren’t as fortunate.

Those 10 days in Costa Rica, allowed me to make life long friends and memories that will benefit me forever. I have decided once again to challenge myself and commit to another volunteer project this coming summer from June 30th to July 13th. I seek out your support once again as I plan to personally raise the needed funds to cover my service with GLA. Thank you in advance for your support.

These are pictures from my last trip in Costa Rica.
This is a young boy named Carlos that I met at the elementary school. As my trip went on we became very close, everyday he would run up give me a huge hug and wouldn't let my hand go all day. He really made me appreciate it so much more and really made me fall in love with what I was doing in Costa Rica and what I hope to keep doing.
