Will Phee Memorial Fund

The Will Phee Memorial Fund is a charity that our family began in July 2011 after Will’s passing; to commemorate him through his passions.

Every year, we donate money to Colonel By High School in Ottawa. As Will was hugely passionate about Cougar Vision, the school runs an annual film festival named after him, for students to show their work.
Eligible graduating students who are pursuing their post secondary education in film also receive a bursary from the Will Phee Memorial Fund to put towards their schooling.

Will was also an avid cabinetmaker. He took the program at Algonquin College, and we created the William Phee Bursary for students to apply for. Two students in first year from the cabinetmaking program are granted this bursary each year.

The money is raised by generous donations through friends and family. For Will’s birthday every year we have a BBQ fundraiser in which we have prizes, sell beer and wine, hot dogs and hamburgers, and have a ball hockey tournament to raise money.
Unfortunately, this year we are unable to host the BBQ, so we are hoping that the generosity can continue through this GoFundMe campaign.

The support we have been shown throughout the past 3 and a half years has been outstanding, and it is because of this generosity that we have been able to keep his legacy alive.

So thank you all so much for continuing to do this for us, for you, and for Will.
