In loving memory of Andrew Skowby
Donation protected
On Monday, Novemeber 1st, 2021, we lost our dear friend Andrew Skowby suddenly and unexpected at the age of 47. Andrew was a wonderful husband, a son, brother and friend to many. From the words of his great friend Dino, Andrew was a miserable prick who had the heart of a lion, incredibly loyal, honest, hard working and an incredible human being. One of a kind!!! Always made time for everyone, always putting everyone else before himself, and really wanting nothing in return, well maybe a Navy Rum in a short glass with some ice and a splash of coke. He loved to act miserable but was as soft as puppy poo. Especially when it came to the Smith kids. He loved those kids!!!
As many of you know, Andrew was well known and loved in the community of Exshaw and surrounding areas. Andrew would not hesitate to stop and help at a moments notice. One particular highlight is the flood of Exshaw, Andrew got out there right away to make sure his community was safe and had power.
Andrew was working as a Power Lineman doing storm restoration and disaster relief in Canada and the USA. Because of the on-call nature of his work, Marlies is not entitled to life insurance through his work.
Andrew and Marlies recently moved to Nova Scotia where they are renovating an abandoned historical home. They dreamed of turning the home into their forever home but are still far from their goal.
Andrew loved his wife Marlies dearly and always did his best to provide and take care of her. During these very tough times he would want to make sure she was taken care of, not have to worry about paying the bills and focus on her healing. There has been many people reach out and ask how they can help Marlies. We are setting up a fund to help Marlies during this difficult and tragic time.
Thank you for all of your love and support!
