WpgEats' Fundraising Initiative For Ukraine

THIS FUNDRAISER

Ukraine has been torn apart by war. Millions of civilians have been evacuated as brave Ukrainians fight for their freedom and sovereignty. Money raised will be sent to humanitarian aid efforts on the ground in Ukraine through the Canada-Ukraine Foundation.

For every $15 donated you will be entered to win prizes generously donated by local businesses. A full list of prizes can be found here:  https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca03m5GO7sb/

ABOUT WPGEATS

@wpgeats is an Instagram page run by Lily Medynska and Josh Goossen. I (Lily) was born in Ukraine in 1995, and moved to Winnipeg at the age of seven. I have held strong ties to my homeland (most recently visiting family in 2019) and culture and have been an active member of Winnipeg's Ukrainian community, like being a dancer with the Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and volunteering at the Ukraine-Kyiv Folklorama pavilion. My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine, but from seeing their resilience and fight for freedom I have never been more proud to call myself Ukrainian. Слава Україні!

ABOUT CANADA-UKRAINE FOUNDATION:

The Canada-Ukraine Foundation was formed to coordinate, develop, organize and deliver assistance from Canadians to Ukraine.

Since the invasion, Canada Ukraine Foundation has raised 7.5 million dollars to support humanitarian aid. All proceeds are used within 7 days of reception, directly supporting humanitarian aid efforts on the ground in Ukraine. The CUF's goal is to raise 25 million dollars.
