Our family is experiencing a heartbreaking situation currently, our Murphy has a herniated disc in his neck causing him excruciating pain from pressure to his spinal cord and will require surgery. Murphy’s pet insurance will not cover this procedure because it is a preexisting condition to when his plan started. Murphy became injured on August 22nd and we had been trying to manage his condition with medication and strict rest based on his veterinarian recommendations. He did not improve and began declining on September 1st. Murphy is currently in the ER seeing a neurology surgeon. We have been given an estimate of $15,500 for his care if everything goes as planned with his surgery and recovery. We are able to qualify to finance part of the cost, but it will have such a large impact on our finances that we unfortunately need to ask for the help through this fundraiser. We would be so grateful for anything that anyone could do to assist. If you’ve ever met Murphy, you know what kind of heartache we are experiencing with our Bubba being in so much pain and not himself.
